Dynamic Core Stability
The training at Excel is based on a concept called Dynamic Core Stability (DCS), which was designed by it’s Founder and President Trevor Isaacs M.A., CSCS. A Kinesiologist and a Strength Training Expert, Trevor uses his concept of Dynamic Core Stability (DCS) to achieve incredible results.
Here’s how it works. First there’s an evaluation to determine the client’s Functional Range of Motion (FROM). Essentially, this is the movement through a given joint that flows free of pain or asymmetry. Depending on an individual’s age, history of injury/trauma, and flexibility, the FROM can be incredibly varied from person to person.
The second step is to design a program that combines specific core strength movements and flexibility patterns to work within the established FROM. The program design can include a variety of strength and flexibility disciplines including Plyometric & Isometric Training, Body Suspension & Core Training, Balance & Agility Pattern Training, and Eccentric Stretching.
Finally, the third step is implementation. Our staff of professional personal trainers with advanced certifications and college degrees in Exercise Science are among the best in the business and pride themselves on their ability to give you the best workout that’s right for YOU! The goal in this phase is to Inspire, Motivate, and Educate the client so that there is an on-going understanding
of the goal and objective at hand.
