In pursuit of attending Medical School, Trevor graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from The University of San Diego, and his Master’s degree in Biomechanics/Kinesiology from San Diego State University. As a three sport athlete in high school and a two sport athlete in college, Trevor began training clients in 1992 in a variety of settings. While this was really a means to pay for his education, he found tremendous fulfillment in his work helping people not only reach goals, but to truly understand their bodies and how to unlock their ultimate potential. So, following graduate school, Trevor passed up an opportunity to attend Medical School at The University of Connecticut-Storrs, and instead opened his business, Excel Sport & Therapy in La Jolla, California.
What started out as an 800 square foot Personal Training facility in 1998 has grown into one of the most cutting edge, dynamic, and exclusive Athletic Medicine and Sports Training Clinics. With 2700 square feet to move about, Trevor is able to use his advanced training in Biomechanics, Gait & Postural Mechanics, and Pre/Post-Therapeutic Exercise as well as his advanced certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Trevor has worked extensively in Metabolic Research with the United States Military at the Naval Training Center helping establish new Physiology Limit Standards for submarine based females in The U.S. Navy. He continues to work extensively with professional surfers and tri-athletes, as well as local high school and collegiate athletes preparing for a professional career. He volunteers as a Strength & Conditioning Coach for the La Jolla High School Football Program as well as an assistant coach for the Junior Varsity Football Team.
